Chicken Thighs with 40 Cloves of Garlic


The garlic gives the chicken a sweet flavor and soft texture.

Serve 4


4 chicken thighs boneless, skinless

40 cloves garlic, unpeeled

½ cup white wine

1 tablespoon fresh thyme

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoons all purpose flour


Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Bring to a boil over medium heat the garlic with water, cover for 10 minutes. Drain.

Pour olive oil in a nonstick skillet, add chicken and brown on all sides. Stir in wine, thyme,garlic and bring them to a boil over high heat. Remove , transfer chicken in a baking dish and bake , covered, for 1 hour , until chicken is tender. Remove from the oven, place the chicken on a serving dish. Combine the remaining juice with chicken broth and flour. Bring the mixture to a boil on medium heat , until thickened, about 5 minutes. Pour over chicken and serve.
