Coconut Macaroons


So easy to make, Coconut Macaroons dessert have a wonderfully sweet coconut flavor with a crisp exterior.


14 ounce sweetened coconut flakes

3 large egg whites

¼ cup sugar (optional)

1 pk vanilla extract

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

zest from ½ orange

¼ teaspoon salt


Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Whisk together the egg whites, sugar (optional), vanilla, orange zest and salt in a bowl , until they make medium-firm peaks or until the sugar (if using) is almost dissolved.

Fold the egg whites mixture into the coconut, mix until well combined.

Drop the batter onto 2 baking sheet pans lined with parchment paper using a small ice cream scoop. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown.

Let cool and serve.
