Crème Brûlée with Love


Creme Brulee with Love **** add some delicious romance in the kitchen with our Valentine’s Day Recipes, ready to impress your loved one.

Serves 6


1 egg

4 egg yolks

3 cups heavy cream

4 vanilla beans, split or 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground

1 tablespoon Grand Marnier

Few teaspoons brown sugar 



Preheat the oven to 300 F.

Mix the egg, egg yolks, vanilla beans or vanilla extract and sugar in a bowl of an electric mixer on low speed until just combined. If you used vanilla beans scrape the seeds out if you can.

Scald the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it’s very hot, but not boiled.

Slowly add the cream to the eggs and mix. Add Grand Marnier and cloves.

Pour into a heart shape oven proof dish or 6 individual ramekins. Place the dish or ramekins in a roasting pan half filled with hot water.

Bake for 40 minutes. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 3 -4 hours, until firm.

Before serving sprinkle the custard with the brown sugar and put the dish under very hot broiler for just enough to caramelize.

Sprinkle creme brulee with raspberries on top and serve.
