Organic Oats with Yogurt and Persimmons

Persimmons are a good source of vitamins A and C as well as manganese, which helps the blood to clot. They also have other antioxidants, which help reduce the risk of many serious health conditions including cancer and stroke.

Including oat yogurt in your breakfast is a great idea as it is contains essential nutrients, high in soluble fibers and packed with protein.

1/2 cup organic rolled oats

1 cup plain homemade yogurt 

1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey

1 persimmon

1 teaspoon chia seeds

Adds on of your choice: walnuts, almonds, raisins, pumpkin seeds


Stir oats and yogurt together in a small bowl or storage container.
Add chia seeds, maple syrup or honey. If you use walnuts add them in the same time with chia seeds .
Yogurt oats can be made the night before or mixed before serving.
The oats continue to soften the longer it sits.
Add the persimmon and your favorite toppings and enjoy!
